Dr. Heather Woolery-Lloyd

Creator and CO-Founder of The Specific Beauty™ Restorative treatment Skin Care Line

Heather Woolery-Lloyd, M.D. completed her undergraduate studies at Georgetown University and later earned her medical degree at the University of Miami School of Medicine. She completed her training in dermatology at the University of Miami where she also served as chief resident.

Dr. Woolery-Lloyd is an internationally recognized expert and lecturer in hyperpigmentation and skin care.

She extensively participates in clinical research, serving as an investigator for many large company clinical trials.  She has been featured as an expert dermatologist in various publications including O magazine, Allure, and Prevention magazines.

Dr Woolery-Lloyd practices dermatology in both a private practice and academic setting.  The private practice locations are in Miami Beach and Midtown Miami.  She also serves as  the Director of Skin Pigmentation department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery at a leading university in Miami.

Allison Sokol

CO-Founder AND CEO of The Specific Beauty™ Restorative treatment Skin Care Line

Allison Sokol is the Co-Founder of Specific Beauty and CEO of Somabella Laboratories, LLC, which developed and manufactures the restorative treatment skincare line. Prior to co- founding Specific Beauty, the accomplished serial entrepreneur successfully launched and built out two significant businesses, one of which was sold to a publicly traded company. Her rewarding experiences led her to ponder her next startup possibility.

Allison's passion for beauty and skincare inspired her to launch the Specific Beauty skincare line. After researching the global beauty and skincare landscape, the seasoned businesswoman felt there was an opportunity to carve out a niche category focused on improving skin pigmentation and found the perfect partner in Dr. Heather Woolery Lloyd, an expert in the highly specialized field. Their partnership forms the cornerstone of the women-led Specific Beauty enterprise where only the highest quality products and production values live.

Venturing into the marketplace at a time of world wide economic uncertainty is testament to her belief and commitment to her customers as best in category scientifically researched and clinically proven ingredients were readily available in the area of skin pigmentation but not reaching the mass market in affordable products. Allison received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida.

She currently resides in Miami Beach with her husband and their four children. The working mom and philanthropist actively participates in organizations close to her heart including the Commonwealth Institute, which mentors women led businesses, the United Way, The Jewish Federation and the Miami Beach Jewish Community Center.
